2/27/2022 5 Comments Week 1: The Jumping off point![]() February 27th, 2022 2/27/2022 This week we made a basic box cake with buttercream. Of course, it was easy to make but it also serves as a gauge to where we were baking. We planned to meet up at Bryce’s but we didn’t have enough baking materials so we ended up going to Spencer’s house and sorting it out from there. We primarily record on an iPad and got our shots from there. The other person in our project is our friend Cayden. He wanted to learn how to cook and bake as well so he will probably continue joining us in our project. The biggest challenge we have had was our lack of baking products in Bryce’s (which was mostly caused by poor planning) which is why we moved our operation to Spencer’s house. For the most part, Spencer and Cayden did a pretty good job with baking except for the very stupid stunts they would pull for fun such as using the mixer inside the 9 x 13 pan. We ended up going to the grocery store for the buttercream because the cake was less sweet than we thought. We had to make sure that Cayden could eat it because he is allergic to a lot of things. One of the major reasons for Cayden joining in on the project was to learn how to make stuff that didn’t conflict with his allergies. Between us baking and waiting for the cake the cool we cleaned up and messed around. We played a lot of sword fights with some wooden lightsabers. We were playing darts and hit many bullseyes and were extremely accurate and precise with our shots, especially Cayden shots. We did end up locking Cayden inside the attic where he lives to the time of writing this. We did get a recording of us playing hide and seek for Bryce to edit.
